DRYSDALE PRIMARY SCHOOL
Visual Arts
Our Art room is a spacious and welcoming creative hub where students explore a wide range of artistic skills while developing an appreciation for the visual arts.
The Art program is designed to nurture individual creativity alongside teaching foundational techniques. Throughout the year, students engage with diverse focus areas including drawing, painting, construction, threads, modelling, and printing.
Additionally, our fully equipped kiln allows students to experience pottery and ceramics, adding a tactile dimension to their artistic learning.
Student artwork is proudly displayed throughout the school and beyond, showcasing their talents to the wider community. Drysdale Primary School consistently participates in the Geelong Show, and our students’ work has been exhibited at prestigious venues such as the Geelong Art Gallery and other prominent locations across the city.
Every two years, we host a School Art Show, inviting families and community members to celebrate the creativity and achievements of our students. This event highlights the importance of the Visual Arts within our school culture and fosters a deeper appreciation of art among students and the community alike.
We are proud of the vibrant and comprehensive Visual Arts program at Drysdale Primary School, which not only encourages artistic growth but also cultivates a lifelong love and respect for art.
