School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS)
At Drysdale Primary School, we use the School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) framework to promote a consistent, positive approach to student behaviour across our school community. This evidence-based framework helps create a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment where all students can thrive both socially and academically.
SWPBS supports the development of a positive school climate by fostering a culture of student success and providing a clear, responsive system for behaviour management. It involves the regular analysis of student behaviour data in professional learning teams, the use of evidence-based teaching and behaviour practices, and the implementation of systems that support safe, purposeful classrooms. This ensures that all students receive the behavioural and learning supports they need to succeed.
By embedding SWPBS into our daily practice, we are building a school community that values respect, responsibility, and resilience, and where every student has the opportunity to feel supported, confident, and ready to learn.
