Book Week
Last week we had Book Week, it was great to see lots of parents for our open afternoon were we read books together and got to share our favourites! The Book Week dress up and parade on Friday was a great full stop on the week and seeing all the students dressed up as their favourite character was fabulous. A big thank you to all the parents and carers for their effort helping their children and supporting the parade.

Junior School Council Fundraiser – Friday 6 September – Wear your sport colours day
Each term our student leaders who form our Junior School Council hold a fundraiser to support a cause that is important to them as children. This term they have decided to hold a wear you sport colours day on Friday 6 September for the Dylan Alcott Foundation. This foundation helps gives young Australians with disability the opportunity to succeed and achieve their dreams. For a gold coin donation children can come to school wearing sport colours, for example, this could be a team they play for or their favourite professional team.
Walking Wednesday
Thank you to all the students and parents/carers that got involved with Walking Wednesday. It was great to see people starting their day in a positive way! We hope to see more of you joining in on Wednesday this week.
JSC Superman Hamper
Parents and Friends have very kindly donated a superman hamper. To be in with the chance to win the hamper Junior School Councillors will be running a raffle.

We thank you for your support in advance and a wish all the fathers a very Happy Father’s Day.

We are very excited to announce that we now have a registered account with the Container Deposit Scheme. When recycling your glass or plastic bottles and cans, we would love our families to now donate their refunds to help Drysdale Primary School with our future sustainability needs and initiatives. To donate download the CDS Vic – West App and then every time you recycle just click on Charities and then search Drysdale Primary School. Please encourage all your family and friends to also donate and recycle with our DPS account. These funds will support the restoration of our veggie garden and help our students develop a greater awareness of recycling, reducing and reusing.
Thanks for your support with all things environmental and sustainable.
