Term 2 Special Lunch Orders are due by Wednesday 12th June. Orders can be placed online at Flexischools, alternatively your child/ren can return the paper form, with money, through their class canteen basket.
Please note, the Special Lunch Order (for those participating) will be on Wednesday 19th June, no regular canteen orders will be available on this date.

Each term our student leaders who form our Junior School Council hold a fundraiser to support a cause that is important to them as children. This term they have decided to hold a casual dress day next week on Friday 14th June for Team Jack.
Team Jack is supporting both Ronald McDonald House Parkville and The Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne. In return for a gold coin donation, students can come to school wearing their PJ’s! We ask that their PJ’s are appropriate to wear at school.

AGM – Parents and Friends are having their AGM on Monday, 24th June at 6:00pm in the school library. If anyone would like to join P&F you are welcome to come along to this meeting, if you’re unable to make the meeting but would like to join please email dpsparentsandfriendsgroup@gmail.com.
Superwoman Stall – we would like to thank everyone who helped out with this years Superwoman stall, Alycia, Caroline, Jen, Tammy, Rhiannon, Caitrin, Michelle and Carissa THANK YOU all. We raised $417 which will go towards more seating around the school.
Bunnings BBQ – our Bunnings BBQ on the 18th May was a huge success, we raised just over $1,900.00, which will be used for extra seating around the school. A massive THANK YOU to all who took time out to volunteer on the day, Glen, Patty, Michelle, Tammy, Kirsty, Marney, Gus, Caroline, Jay, Leanne, Jess, Nic and Carissa, theses events would not be possible with out you. Also, THANK YOU to Aldi Ocean Grove for their much appreciated donation of sausages, can’t have a sausage sizzle without them!

Last Tuesday ten children from the senior area were picked to take part in the high abilities stem incursion on Space Junk and Salvaging Satellites. The first thing that we did was to learn about all the things that make up space junk like dead satellites and parts of rockets. We had a scientist on our Zoom call who told us about how they are trying to work out how we can bring the space junk back down to Earth. Then we got to listen to two astronauts, one of which was in space! They spoke about the task we needed to do which was to design a helicopter launcher that can bring space junk back down to Earth. We used a range of material to try and make the helicopter fall quicker. The day was so much fun, and we learnt lots of interesting things about space junk.
